What is the Marketplace?

The Marketplace enables local sellers to sell their products via our platform, helping to promote trade in our town.

What do you need to become a seller on the Marketplace

• Be a company or a sole trader: To register as a seller, you must be a legally incorporated entity or a sole trader with an active business.
• Ship directly to the end customer: Sellers are responsible for shipping their products directly to consumers, using partner logistics services, such as CTT.
• Invoice the customer directly: Each seller must issue invoices directly to customers, in accordance with purchases made on the platform.
• Ensure a quality service: Excellence in customer service and customer satisfaction are fundamental. Sellers are expected to meet deadlines and guarantee quality products.
• Put the customer first: Always put the customer first, with personalised service and attention to their needs.
• Build a long-term partnership: By joining the Marketplace, sellers become part of a community that values and promotes local trade, with the aim of creating a sustainable and mutually beneficial relationship.

How do I sign up to sell on the Marketplace?

To sign up, simply fill in the form on our seller registration page. Our team will get in touch within 24 hours to help you through the process.

What are the costs involved in selling on the Marketplace?

The subscription is free for the duration of the ‘Digital Neighbourhoods’ programme. We do not charge any commission on sales.

What kind of products can I sell on the Marketplace?

You can sell a wide variety of products, from handmade items to food, provided they comply with the Marketplace guidelines and applicable legislation

How does order acceptance work?

As a Seller, you have up to 24 hours to accept or decline an order after payment has been made.

Who handles the dispatch of orders?

The Seller is responsible for dispatching orders. We use CTT Express Post as our sole delivery method.

What are the available delivery costs and methods?

The only delivery method available is CTT Express Post. The delivery cost depends on whether you choose standard delivery or 24-hour delivery. The weight limit for parcels is 10 kg

What payment methods are accepted for the products I sell?

Customers can pay using Visa or MasterCard and via bank transfer. The platform is responsible for processing the payment

Does the price of the products include taxes and duties?

Yes, the price shown on the product page already includes all applicable taxes and duties. Delivery charges are not included in the price.

How can I ask questions about my products?

Customers can ask questions about products using the “Ask the seller” feature, available on the product page.***

What are the product return policy terms?

Customers must bear the cost of returning products that are not defective. Please refer to the return policy on your seller page.

Who is responsible for the product warranty?

The warranty for Marketplace products is the responsibility of the sellers, who must comply with Portuguese law.

What are the warranty terms for the products?

Sellers are required to provide the warranty specified by law for each type of product.

How is a refund processed if a product is returned?

The refund will be issued via the same payment method used for the purchase, once the seller has confirmed receipt of the returned product.
